Christ With Us

Isa 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isa 9:7 Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.

Luk 2:11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luk 2:12 And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger."Luk 2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, Luk 2:14 "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!"

What can I say? We see the little baby and we think how cute and sweet so small. That baby was God. The mighty God came to us. It has become so familiar that sometimes we don't even think about it, what it means that God came to us. His creation that rejected him and rail against him, came for us. My words can't even begin to explain, so I will let scripture

Php 2:5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, Php 2:6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, Php 2:7 but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. Php 2:8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Gal 4:4 But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, Gal 4:5 to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.

Here is a fun song, but true

Christ ~ High and Holy God

Psalms 2:1 Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying,3 Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.4 He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.5 Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying,6 As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.7 I will tell of the decree: The Lord said to me, You are my Son; today I have begotten you.8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.9 You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.10 Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth.11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

Joh 18:37 Then Pilate said to him, "So you are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born and for this purpose I have come into the world--to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice."

Have you heard it before, "Jesus is my best friend" something to that effect. Jesus is our friend. Little Jesus in his white robe holding a child. Little Jesus, He loves you no matter what, He is ok with you just the way you are. Jesus will help you feel happy and content. He is your good luck charm.

Is this THAT Jesus:

Luke 14:26 "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:27 Whoever does not bear his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple.

Sounds harsh. Hate my family? What? You know why? He is the KING of kings. He is the High & Holy God. He is ruler over the entire universe. No atom in the world can exist without Him purposefully willing it to exist and behave in a way He deems fit. This God who though thought created the universe and sustains it, bought you! You are purchsed with His blood. He is God and he has every right to demand every single part of your life in whole devotion and reverance to Him. He is not you pal, your Buddy! He is High Holy God. Yes he is LOVE, He is longsuffering, He is patient, and faithful. But those don't take away from His Kingship and His High and Holy position, they add to it. When you can grasp the nature of Who He is, and see what He has done, it demands that you fall on your face before Him, that you give Him Honor and Glory, that you revere Him. Tremble before Him in Holy fear.
Simply acknowledging Him as Lord isn't enough, just believing isn't all there is.

Jas 2:19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe--and shudder!

He is King, seek Him, place your trust in Him, repent of your sin, so that at the end of your life you don't hear:

Mat 7:22 On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?'
Mat 7:23 And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.'

12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

He is King and Lord, Ruler over all, a Mighty and Holy God, all Glory and Honor belong to Him.

Christ and His blessings

Mat 5:2 And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying: Mat 5:3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Mat 5:4 "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Mat 5:5 "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Mat 5:6 "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Mat 5:7 "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Mat 5:8 "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Mat 5:9 "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Mat 5:10 "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

1Pe 1:6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, 1Pe 1:7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith--more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire--may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

1Pe 4:12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 1Pe 4:13 But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. 1Pe 4:14 If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.

Do you see a pattern here? When you hear the word "blessings of God" what do you think of? I know alot of people in many of our American churches think; wealth, health, life of ease, happiness, nice relationships. We obtain those things and we think, "Oh how blessed I am!" God can bless us in these things, I think most of the time He doesn't though. What is God's goal in our lives? For us to be happy? I Think He is more interested in us being conformed into the image of His Son. Does money help us to do that? Most of us would have to honestly answer, "no". Do trials? Most definitely!

Rom 5:3 More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, Rom 5:4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, Rom 5:5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

So what do we see as true "blessing" from God? Money or Trials ( sufferings) Which conforms us into the image of His Son?

This might help you to look at your trials differantly. Not that they are fun, but when we know the purpose we can appreciate what the outcome will be, and then we can see them as blessings.

Christ- God as Servant

How Big is our God?

Isa 40:12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and marked off the heavens with a span, enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?

Isa 48:13 My hand laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand spread out the heavens; when I call to them, they stand forth together.

Col 1:16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities--all things were created through him and for him. Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

What did Christ do?

Php 2:5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, Php 2:6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, Php 2:7 but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. Php 2:8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

How did he demonstrate this?

Joh 13:3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God, Joh 13:4 rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. Joh 13:5 Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

The God that holds the stars in his hands became a man, served those who hated him and washed their feet. Ponder this for a moment, I know many people are familiar with the story. Really think about what this means. How does this effect how you look at God? Our God is high and HOLY, perfect and mighty, full of purity and the ruler of all, King of kings and Lord of lords, holds every cell in is hands and is sovereign over all. He has every right to demand anything and everything of us, yet he serves us. US! Filthy, unclean man. We spit in his face, drove the nail into his hands, mocked him, and he humbles himself before us? This is our God, how beautiful he is. When you pray to him today, thank him for what he has done, for who he is.

And even more than washing our feet-

Isa 53:1 Who has believed what he has heard from us? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? Isa 53:2 For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him. Isa 53:3 He was despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and as one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Isa 53:4 Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed. Isa 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned--every one--to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isa 53:7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth; like a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent, so he opened not his mouth. Isa 53:8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living, stricken for the transgression of my people? Isa 53:9 And they made his grave with the wicked and with a rich man in his death, although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth. Isa 53:10 Yet it was the will of the LORD to crush him; he has put him to grief; when his soul makes an offering for guilt, he shall see his offspring; he shall prolong his days; the will of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. Isa 53:11 Out of the anguish of his soul he shall see and be satisfied; by his knowledge shall the righteous one, my servant, make many to be accounted righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities. Isa 53:12 Therefore I will divide him a portion with the many, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and makes intercession for the transgressors.

Thank you Jesus, thank you for the cross, beautiful Savior.

Christ- The Author and Finisher

Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Heb 12:3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Heb 12:4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

Christ is the Author of everything, and the finisher of everything. Our Faith, life, salvation, this world. Christ is the one that sought us, He is the one that gave us the ability to turn toward Him, He opens our eyes, He does it all. He is the finisher, he will see us to the end, He will be there to carry us through it all, He will never leave, never look away, never fail, always be faithful.

Notice what else our passage says, we are to lay aside all things that will hold us back, anything that hinders us from running the race fully. Is there anything you need to let go of, or just hand over to God? You know, He is all that matters, all theses things we feel are so important are all just "things", they will burn, what matters is how we served our King, how we either fed our flesh or starved it, and vice versa, if we fed our spirit ( by reading the word) or starved it. Even this we can't do on our own, Christ gives us the strength, let us always look to Him for all things, without Him we can do nothing, but with Him all things are possible!

Christ our Kinsman Redeemer

Some definitions of what Kinsman redeemer is:

And the high God their Redeemer - ואל עליון גאלם veel elyon goalam, “And the strong God the Most High, their kinsman.” That one who possessed the right of redemption; the nearest akin to him who had forfeited his inheritance; so the word originally means, and hence it is often used for a redeemer.

For their redeemer is mighty - גאלם goalam, their kinsman. The word means the person who has a right, being next in blood, to redeem a field or estate, alienated from the family, to avenge the blood of a murdered relative, by slaying the murderer; and to take to wife a brother’s widow, who had died childless, in order to preserve the family. The strength here mentioned refers to the justness of his claim, the extent of his influence, and the powerful abettors of such a cause. But in reference to the orphans here mentioned, they having no kinsman, God takes up, vindicates, and avenges their cause.

Because Jesus took on flesh and became one of us ( a human) he now has the right to be our (Kinsman) Redeemer. He is of "our blood" our kinsman, therefore he can redeem the inheritance we forfeited. I love how God set that up in law so He could then one day point to His son and say, "See there He is, your Redeemer, one of your own blood, a kinsman, to redeem you"

Everything was planned out from the very beginning, God's plan is beautiful, gracious, and wondrous.

Praise the Lord and our Savior, our Redeemer

Christ the Creator

In the Beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was the life and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness and the darkness comprehended it not. John 1:1-5

He came to His own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God... John 1:11-12

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son of God from the Father, full of grace and truth.John 1:14

By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. Heb.11:3

A great video about one of the amazing "invisible" things Jesus created to point to himself.

For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities, all things were created through Him and for Him. Colossians 1:16

(For a great article by Answers In Genesis click here)

Jesus Christ is the creator of all things. In Him all thing hold together, he is the sustainer of all life, our Redeemer and the Author and finisher of our Faith. Think about it, the Creator entered into his own creation and was hated and murdered, but He did it all to save and redeem the very thing he created. Some think and teach that God made Jesus come and sacrifice Himself. Jesus knew he would come and die for us before HE even created it, knowing what we would do.

Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me....

Christ- Our High Priest.

Hebrews 4: 12-16 -For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of the soul and of the spirit, of the joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weakness, but one who in every respect has been tempted as are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

We know that if we are in Christ, then we CAN come to the throne, not based on ourselves but based upon Christ's atonement. He is THE high priest, was tempted in every way, like we are, yet without sin. He knows what we have gone through, he understands what it is, yet BECAUSE He never sinned, He can show us a way out, or around, or even walk with us through it and keep us from sinning. He is there for us to lean on, find comfort in, look to for strength and forever working within us (through the power of the Holy Spirit) to eventually conform us into His image.

Thank you dear Jesus for being out High Priest and stand in on our behalf before the Father.

Christ, God of Mercy

I am behind in posting this week as I waited for God to place on my heart what to blog about, now I know.
God showed me something very interesting yesterday, He is a God of mercy. I will share a little bit of a personal story with you. I suffer from migraines, and for a while I had some pain medication to help me deal with them, then God asked me to give them up. ( I am not saying all people should give up their medication, this was just for me) SO I did, He asked me to trust him, so I did. It was scary because I knew that if I got a migraine it would be very difficult for me to deal with house and home. He did make if clear that my headaches wouldn't go away, but that I would lean on him, when they happened. Since giving up my meds, I very rarely get any headaches or migraines.
Yesterday I had a pretty bad one, but in the mist of my pain, I was able to say, "What a gracious and merciful God I have, I very rarely get these, he has been so merciful to me, so loving and caring. I do not derserve to be blessed in such a way that God sees it fit to free me from having these all the time"
I learned and realized as I was saying this out loud to my husband, how God has changed my heart. Instead of "Why God?" I was thinking, "why not more often?" How incredibley loving he spares me from what I deserve, and from feeling the weight of this fallen world every single day. He holds back, he blesses, he gives me Joy and pleasure. He has given us his beautiful creation.
How merciful you are my Jesus! Thank you!!

It is the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning, great is thy faithfulness. Lam 22-23

Christ the Savior

Have you ever been told to accept Jesus because he is the best friend you will ever have? Or that He will make you life better, and you career and relationships will improve? If you accepted the Savior based on that, you may have accepted Him for the wrong reason. Do you wonder why when you asked Him in, He didn't stay there?
First we need to ask, "Why do I need a Savior? - "What do we need saving from?" You may have heard that you need Jesus so you don't go to Hell. You may wonder "why would I go to Hell, I am not that bad, I care about people, I am kind, sure I have done bad, but the good surely out weighs the bad".
To find out we need to go all the way back to the 10 commandents, the Law, God's law, His standard for conduct.
Lets take the "good person test". Have you ever told a lie? Even one? What does that make you? A liar. Have you ever stolen anything? even a small thing, once? A theif.
"You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely; you shall not lie to one another" Lev 19:11
Have you ever taken the Lords name in vain? said "Oh my G*d"! You use the Lord's name, the one who gave you life as a word of disgust.
That is 3 of the 10, we all have broken at least these if not all.
You may say, "well I never killed anyone" Have you hated? Jesus said if you hate someone, you have commited murder in your heart.
We broke the law, all of us have, the right and just thing is to have justice. A good jude wouldn't let a criminal go because he seemed like a "nice person", the law must privale, and things made right.
So that is why we deserve Hell. We all do, it is the right thing.
BUT since we couldn't save ourselves, no one can be "good enough". God in his loving kindness came and paid the fine, "The wages of sin , is death" He died in your place, took the punishment for YOUR sin. Now if you repent (means turn away, don't do it anymore) and trust in Jesus, make him your Lord ( he calls the shots) and receive the gift of Him on the cross. Then you will be saved!
This is the Savior! This is why he came and died for you, not so you can have a cool job or nice relationships, so he can save you from the place you could not save yourself from.
So when you see the cross, remember your God the one that created you, came down, lived as a man, lived a perfect blameless life, took on your sin.
What a marvelous, loving and amazing God. We deserve hell, but he made a way out, He saved us.
Put your trust in him, turn from your sin, serve him.
Gods goal is not so you can have a wonderful life (just read Pauls story) His goal is to conform you into the image of His Son, to restore a right relationship with you, to live in all eternity with Him.
When we have Him, we have everything, the world can melt away, and it would even matter because we have Jesus our Savior, the lover of our soul, blessed redeemer.
Bow down at his feet, worship Him, love Him and serve Him.
This is JESUS THE SAVIOR!

Christ- God of all comfort

Today is a hard day for me and many of us at my church, our pastor is leaving, not because of anything bad, the Lord is moving him on to a different place and we know it is of Him, yet we feel the loss.
Times like this we tend to look inward, or at the circumstance. We can be consumed by the pain and loss. But there is One who truely understands us and knows what we are feeling in the most perfect and profound way. One who knows loss, knows pain. We look to Him, cling to Him, fill our minds with His words. He is really all that matters, He is the most important. Even if we lose everything, if we have Him, we have everything.

Hebrews 4:15-16
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weakness, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Let us draw near to Him, run to Him, cling to Him, but also..

Gal. 6:9
Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Christ: All that I need

We often say things like this, "Jesus is all I need" do we mean it? If we lost everything and I mean everything, would He be enough? When we can come to a place where our King is all we need, then we are exactly in the place we were created to be. Jesus is all, our breath, our life, our source. If we gain everything, all our dreams, all our hopes, and we don't have Jesus, we have NOTHING!

If I speak with the tongues of men and angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing... 1 Cor 13:1-2

For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul? Mark 8:36

"If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me
Mark 8:34

Worship the Christ

What does it mean to worship Christ? Is it just singing a song? Being overcome with emotion and falling upon your face before your King? That is part of it, but we are to worship even when we don't "feel" like it. He is our God, Mighty and Holy. We worship him because he deserves it, because he is GOD. We bow down to the King because of Who he is, not because he does nice things for us. He does, because he is good, but we praise and worship him in times of sorrow and in times of rejoicing. In famine and abundance.
The amazing thing is when we choose to worship, yes it is a choice, the Creator of the Universe comes down and is with us, communes with us, and surrounds us and we enter into a place that can only be reached with Him.
Often our lives are busy and we don't have "time" to spend in worship, but it should be a priority, not a left over act, if we have time.
So get up a little earlier to spend time with your Wonderful Saviour, He deserves it, and you get blessed for it.
What is better than spending time with Jesus, can anything else compare?

The Love of Christ

Have we thought on how deep our Father's love is for us.

For while we were still weak, at the right time, Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcley die for a righteous person, though perhaps for a good person one would even dare to die, but God showed His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since therefore, we have now been justified by His blood, much more shall we be saved by Him from the wrath of God.
Romans 5: 6-9

Enough said, that is how great Our Saviors love is for us.

The Peace of Christ

Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Php. 4:4-7

Rejoice in the Lord always, doesn't mean everything that whatever happens, we are happy about, in the mist of whatever it is, we rejoice. The Lord deserves all honor and praise no matter what. He is a good God and we fear him. He is HOLY, we bow down to him. He is Love, he picks us up. He will surround us and guide us. Not always taking us out of the situation, but walking WITH us in any situation. When we understand this, when our minds can grab hold of this, we can live being "not anxious" about anything, the Creator of the universe is walking with us through it, we hold His hand and let him walk us out, all the time caring for us and guiding our steps. He cares, he cares about all your worries, the things that matter to you, he says, "Give them to me" he is the only One that can take those worries and cares and ease the burden from off us, and can take care of them in whatever way he sees fit. We can trust in that because He is a good God, and whatever he decides is Good! He will replace all those wories and cares with his PEACE. The Peace of God is amazing and you can not get it anywhere else, only He has it.

So cast your cares upon Him, for he cares for you

That's MY KING

Watching the video "That's my King" stirs something inside me, My King is the most amazing thing. My Lord, My King loved me so deeply that he endured all of that, for ME. One of the most amazing things that happens to anyone who is a Christian, there comes a point in their walk when Jesus Himself will tell you that even if you were the only one, He still would have done it. When the Creator of the universe tells you that he did it for you, when he makes it personal like that, how can you not fall down upon your face awe of Him.
When we realize it, when it reaches your heart and grabs your soul, our natural response is to say, "where ever Lord, I will follow you wherever you lead." Living for self is so empty, living for Him is the fullfillment of all we were created for. He deserves all glory, worship, love, honor, and praise. He is above all, not because we put him there, because he is already there and all we have to do is look up.

...but God shows His love for us that while we were sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

How do we take up our cross?

Jesus said "whoever does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me". Mat 10:38
He also said, "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brother's and sisters, yes even his own life, he cannot be my disciple" Luke 14:26

This is a hard thing to grasp, we love our family, and ourselves. They consume our thoughts and motives, we LOVE them.
But Jesus wants our love for him to be so far above any love we have for our family to look like hate in comparison. We deny self, follow Him, He is to be number one.
How do we get there? Spend TIME with him. Be in prayer, read His word, spend time with his children.
We choose Him over everything.
He is KING, bow to his feet and serve Him.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up James 4:10
